Madrid: Bi Bo Dani Garcia New Tapas Bar

Postby Alexandria » Fri Dec 08, 2017 6:13 pm

Today, we headed over to Multi Michelin Dani Garcia´s new Tavern in Madrid, located on: Paseo de La Castellana - In Between: Ruben Darió & Gregorio Marañon in the Financial District ..

Bi Bo Dani Garcia: Paseo de La Castellana 5 2 - Reservations requred: ( 34 ) 91. 805 - 2556 ..

Bi Bo is a palatial looking Tavern serving Three Michelin Star regional Tapas for fair prices .. It is not Michelin Starred ..

Chef Garcia is most famous for his three Michelin Star restaurants in Marbella, Málaga ..

The Carte: Highlights of Today´s Bar Tapas Menu: ( 15 - 19 Euros ):

Asturian Fabada = An Asturian White Bean Stew with a variety of fresh Sausages ..
The Galician Fish Stew (an amazing assorted wild catch fish, shellfish and octopus stew which was heaven on earth )
Exremaduran Migas ( Bread Croutons with Pancetta & Fried Sunny side Up Eggs )
Pisto Manchego ( The same exact ingredients as Ratatouille however, the texture is a thick thick Salsa & it is served with a sunny side up egg)

My husband and I shared the incredibly renowned delicacy, called: The Basque Kokotxas (pronounced: ko ko chas ) which are the neck glands of the Bacalao ( wild caught fresh Cod) & they were sautéed in a top notch Extra virgin olive oil. This delicacy is: 24 Euros and we sipped a lovely Gramona Cava with them. It was plenty for two ..

Then we shared the Galician Fish Stew which was a powerhouse of assorted fish, shellfish and tender baby octopus clusters. Worth the 15 Euros and more than enough for two .. We switched to a beautiful Albariño Grape & 2 indigenious O´ Rosal Grapes, a stunning Varietal which is one of our favorite home wines, Santiago Ruiz from O´ Rosal, Rias Baixas, Galicia ( southern Galicia close to Tuí and the northern border of Portugal, and Valença - Portugal on the other side of the Bridge, & the bridge which was built by the architect of the Eiffel Tower in Paris .. )

After our lovely lunch, we strolled down Calle Serrano which runs parallel north and south to our hotel and window shopped and made a few stops along the way. It is a national holiday however, the shops are all open for visitors and Christmas Shoppers .. Shall write about our stop at Poncelet Gourmet Cheeses tomorrow .. :chrissytree1

A lovely day ..

Have a wonderful weekend .. :chrissytree1
