Note To Wildfood Users

Postby Sakkarin » Tue Apr 24, 2012 9:02 pm

If you want to make this board look and feel similar to the Wildfood Board you are used to, go to:

User Control Panel>> Board Preferences>> Edit Global Settings

And select "Prosilver" in "My Board Style" pulldown.

I think this board has the best 'feel' of any I've ever been on - it's beautiful, Sakkarin!

Cheers, Paul
Now that you've discovered that making your own bread is easier than you thought, what else is there that isn't so difficult when you actually have a go? Like making your own pasta without a machine, for instance!

May I make a suggestion? I don't know if it is possible, but the board is very light in both incarnations. Would it be possible to get something with slightly darker (and I mean just a bit muted) backgrounds to avoid glare?

Hi Uschi

You're on Firefox aren't you?
You can download an add-on called no squint.

It allows you to manipulate page colours and text size.
A bit limited but it has let me replicate the old BBC board colour, which I may change

Did it use to be a pale peachy colour, our Sakkarin, before the big change where it went blue - or is it more grey now.

I've had the Beeb set like this for a couple of years now.

Somewhere I suggested that Sakarin leaves the this board as it is for a couple of weeks just to let it settle down.

However, before visual changes are considered I'd like to say that through my eyes I found the old BBC with its urine coloured background not at all easy. I loved it when it went to normal black type on a white background, so I'd be happy with this staying as it is though the light blue (to me) titles could be a tad darker, but I'm not complaining. :D
