Watercress query
I've just grown this in my veg patch for the first time and am really enjoying it. When I cut some this afternoon I noticed little white flowers are appearing on it. Would it still be ok to eat and are the flowers edible. Also I have just noticed on the under part of the leaves, what appears to be very small 'things' grubs or whatever, fawn in colour and when I looked through them all they are actually covered. I wonder would anyone know what these might be and how I could get rid of them. I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Watercress query
Bugs hide under leaves deliberately so they can't be got at of course - and it works unfortunately so it's hard to spray them effectively. A diluted solution of washing up liquid is good for washing them off. Do they float off if the picked leaves are put into a saltwater bath (as you would with lettuce or cauli)?
