That made me laugh Mark! I can remember having one way back in the 60s/70s. They are still available in the supermarkets, so must be still popular.

Tee hee. I feel as incompetent when trying to make a re-sealable peel-back film lid, er, peel back. (I usually give up.)

My latest rotary can opener is a bog standard one, except it has an extension with a magnet that, after opening the tin, you stick to the lid to withdraw it easily without cutting yourself :)

I seem to recall that the curried steak Fray Bentos pies were good at the time, if you love super flaky pastry with a ridiculously undercooked soggy bit under - strangely addictive...
