frozen pearl onions

Good afternoon everyone,

I am not sure whether this is the right board to post this on (isn't it lovely to have all the dedicated boards again) but on Saturday Kitchen today J.M. mentioned that you could buy frozen pearl onions. I have checked with most of the big supermarkets (on line) and they don't seem to stock them. Does anyone know where I can get them please.

I'm going to make a rabbit stifado soon and small onions are one of the ingredients and I would love to use them as opposed to small shallots. Here's a link to the recipe I am using, it looks really good to me

Hi Dena,
I was looking for them too, as I wanted to do some little quick pickled onions, but couldn't find them - I was in Tesco at the time - will try and remember to have a look in W when next in!

Hi Dena - Waitrose were selling these before Christmas; I don't know whether they're still available, but it might be worth a try.
