Stuffed baguettes - in the oven now!

Postby mistytwoshoes » Sat Apr 28, 2012 1:48 pm

Great to see you all here!

I'm just baking the stuffed baguettes mentioned by FCQ I think on the Beeb Board. They smell wonderful! Will report back when they have been devoured - with a glass of wine of course!

How funny, I'm going to make them today too, bought the baguettes yesterday.
It was AlisonWright who mentioned them, her friend made them for her.

Another lovely lunch I've tried recently is this, from my friend's blog (If you read it, you'll see she has just made a Mamta's kitchen curry, it was me who pointed her in the direction of the site!)

Of course the recipe I linked to says breakfast, but I made it for lunch, in case that wasn't clear.

They were darn good!!! A whole one was too much for me but the OH finished it off! I served them with a cherry plum tomato and avocado dressed in balsamic glaze.

The options for different fillings are endless and would be a great way of 'clearing out' the fridge!! Going to try them cold at some point for packed lunches.

Oh I have just been planning my dinners for the week and was planning on having them tomorrow. It is a very clever idea,
I often end up with odds and ends of bacon so this is a great way to stretch them out for a dinner.
