What a great idea to put it on CBBC. I'm sure that it will encourage children to have interest in cooking!

Thanks Mark111757 - look forward to watching the series. I don't think US family progs as the main theme of any series ever took off here.

Here's the link for anyone who has access to BBC iPlayer:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b ... nday-lunch

I haven't watched that episode yet, but I have to say that it's quite normal to watch the oven to see Yorkshire Puds rising - honestly it really is. It's easy to make Yorkshire Puds rise - just add a ton of eggs as some chefs do, but who wants a noticeable eggy taste? (My guess is no-one.)

I can't wait to see what the spiced-up inventive vegetable dishes are... (sorry, might have been suggested).

Jeral,

Unfortunately, the link only works in the U.K. due to the copyright laws ..

Have a lovely day .. :wave

I've never seen it because I don't watch anything featuring celebrity brats if I can avoid it. Let them finish school at least, doesn't Gordon earn enough without turning to child labour?

As far as watching the video, three words....virtual private network......check into that those who are interested

As far as the show, I like it but gordo seems like he is an attention whore. That got really old really fast especially in series two. Can't imagine it being better in series three or four.

I will say good luck to Tilly based on what I see on TV.

Hmm. First impression: The programme struck me as a bit "how the other half lives" so I've no idea how well it goes down with CBBC kids it's supposedly aimed at - many of whom would never be able to persuade their mums to buy the myriad "fancy" ingredients Tilly uses. So, more voyeurism than inspirational cooking of the sort that shows that "if I can you can". Then again, I'm not a kid.

As it's on CBBC daily, I've set it to record as first impressions can be wrong.

The annoying thing with virtually all modern Food TV programmes is that they are presented by people who are pretty wealthy who can afford to buy, say 6 lamb shanks to make a casserole or whatever. Eat Well for Less and Save Money: Good Food are probably the only exceptions to this, but even then they tend to focus on middle income families who are still struggling to make ends meet because they are paying far more than they need to on food.
