The S makes a difference

Not bitters but bitter which to a Brit means bitter beer, a normal ingredient in Welsh rarebit

Any well flavoured dry beer will work fine (not stout)

Renee

Here are a couple recipes I found on line

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/16478 ... h-rarebit/

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/150 ... sh-rarebit

Seems like either a little or a lot of flour

Thanks for the recipes, Mark. I have never followed a proper recipe when making Welsh Rarebit. I do like the idea of adding the beer though, but it needs a bit more than that!
