29 Wild McDonald's Menu Items You Can't Get In The US

Postby mark111757 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 8:47 pm

And I would happily try them all

The stuff from Vietnam intrigues me the most. I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of them.

Salmon burger, bacon, mash and cheese all in one bun. The mind boggles.

And I thing the Bubblegum Squash is for clearing blocked drains...

As you say, Vietnam looks the most appetising by far.

A few of those I would enjoy Mark! The salmon burger with bacon looked quite good. McD's in Taipei was very popular with young teenagers after school. It always looked busy. On our three days in Hong Kong, we had breakfasts in McD's which were good, comprising of orange juice, 6 small pancakes, butter, maple syrup and coffee.

@ Mark,

Interesting post topic ..

The Corporation is using their "thinking caps" and catering to the local populations and local tastes, customs, traditions, & dietary laws that the locals follow ..

Have a wonderful 2018 too .. :thumbsup

But where's the Royale? (For Tarantino fans)

I was amazed in Beijing how popular McD's was. Iavoided it and went for restaurants surrounding the nearby night market

Yessssss!

I've been to a Rome McD's and had pasta.
The nicest sounding one for me is the Italian spinach and ricotta bites. But the photo looks nasty.

Quite honestly I couldn't imagine eating any of them and some look absolutely revolting, especially the icecreamy drinky things.

I can still say, hand on heart, I have never been inside, or outside in a car, a Macdonalds and I don't intend to start at my age.

Well Done, Joan! Hahaha!!

McDs was all the rage in Venezuela in the 80s and 90s. I also had a convenient McDs 50 yds away from my kitchen, which meant an easy way out when very busy.
These days, they're serving " Yuca French Fries", which are absolutely horrendous.

The list looks interesting, although some of the options look a bit desperate!

Number 5, fish and chips. They're not chips, pale and thin. Chips need to be thick and chunky like the best of our local pubs.

Mostly managed to avoid MacD's - though once had muesli type breakfast in the States and was pleasantly surprised.

I used to like an occasional McD burger (once a year perhaps) just because it was so different to anything I'd make at home but I've gone off them now.

There used to be a McD's in Tesco where I used to live many years ago. After finishing my food shopping, I felt tired and very hungry, so decided I couldn't go wrong with a filet of fish in a bun. How wrong I was! :thumbsdown

When Mcdonalds opened on the outskirts of our nearest town it was attcked by local farmers - no real damage done. It is still there but only seems to be used by the teens or tourists.

GD when aged 4 spotted it from the car and said to her mother who was driving "Hang on a minutes Mcdo - must go. Her mum without pausing for breath said "But you know that only daddies can take children there". The next question was "Can Grandads?"

A very bright GD, Joan! :D A bit too bright, I think! I seem to remember that they gave a small gift for children, which was probably the attraction. Thankfully, Charlotte grew out of McD's many years ago, although I never took her there.

I'd try them all.
Either just DD or both of us will be in Sydney next Christmas so will try the bubblegum thing!

I've been in a MacDonald's once in Leiden in the Netherlands. I had the fillet of fish and I have to say, it was ok. Never been in one since though.

I don't go to McDonalds often, but sometimes one gets perverse cravings. In that case it is a Hamburger Royal TS (like a Quarterpounder with cheese, tomatoes and lettuce (the S in the T(Tomaten) S (Salat).
That is quite nice, but usually keeps me out of McD's for six months or so.
