Good Farm Shops in the UK
Just wondered if folk have a good farm shop, they could perhaps post details on here, so to spread the word.
I live on the Surrey/NE Hampshire border, and am desperate to find some good outlets as I'm fed up with supermarket fruit and veg. Luckily I have a great butcher, so that's one area covered!

Thanks for that link, it will be helpful.
I always think though, that first hand recommendations are the best.

Morning.
When DD lived in York she used The Farmer's Cart at Towthorpe -(near the Strensall Army base) it was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. I believe it is still there.
When i lived in Newcastle I used to go out to Brocksbushes near Corbridge in Northumberland. I know that is still there:

Durleigh Marsh between Petersfield and Midhurst is the one we go to. It's great when things are in season - particularly for Asparagus and soft fruit, but I wouldn't just shop there generally. The Meat etc is a bit of an afterthought to the produce from the farm itself which is excellent.

Not my neck of the woods and not quite a farm shop as such, but when we went it was well worth a look around and the cafe was lovely

I was sure our local farm shops both had websites and now I can't find the links.
One is the Orchard Farm Shop at Hurst Green/Etchingham - link is address/location only
http://www.bigbarn.co.uk/marketplace/vendors/orchardfarmsussex~OrchardFarmShop_Etchingham_TN19 and the other is Hartley Dyke on the road between Hawkhurst and Cranbrook (Kent)
It's annoying me now that I can't find the appropriate websites.

I will be with the chutneys at Hawarden on 26/27 May! Great farm shop (and they use my stuff on the menu and will be using my mustard in their sausages)
