Thank you. Elisa :D

My latest favourite rhubarb recipe is rhubarb and caramel sauce from Nigel Slater. It's totally delicious but for some reason when I search for the recipe to post a link here the BBC website just hangs. I guess if you're interested you could try later .... it really is one of the simplest recipes out.

Just seen the jam post .... I make rhubarb and fig jam if you're interested?
1.3kg rhubarb, cut into 1inch lengths and mixed with 1.3kg granulated sugar. Leave overnight. Chop up 225g dried figs & juice 3 lemons. Add all ingredients to pan, heat gently to dissolve sugar and then boil to setting point. I boiled mine at the weekend for 17 minutes.
It's lovely :)

Hi Happy Violas: that looks really excellent and we love figs too, so Saturday is market day, I'll be getting rhubarb! I have dry figs in the cupboard. Can't wait. :D

Thank you so much for the recipe!

Does anyone find that rhubarb chutney is much more inclined to stick to the bottom of the pot? Wicked stuff, it burns in an instant!

Yes, please SG!

Our rhubarb has been rubbish this year, very thin and weedy, but I can get it at the market at a reasonable price.
